Chester High School in Chester, United Kingdom held last week an ethical catwalk show displaying many different designs of its students. KEEN donated different bags out of its Harvest line, to the show and the raffle afterwards. A Harvest bag is made out of re-purposed materials and making each one completely unique and one of a kind.
The show was held to promoted Fair Trade work in their school. The Textiles 6th Form Class have ‘Upcycled’ different clothing and some Year 8 students have made clothing from ironing plastic carrier bags. The school has its own Fair Trade Tuck shop open every day to spread the message on fair trade and sustainability. After the show the school held a fair with items from local Fair Trade shops and donations for raffle prizes from Hair Salons, Marks and Spencers and Choco Hotel.
All of the money raised will be going towards creating an outdoor space for the children at Chester High School.
