KEEN Shoeboxes Help Spread Joy with The Shoebox Project

The Shoebox Project was founded by a family looking to give back to their community. Together, they created a community of support that provides little luxuries to women in shelters around Canada and part of the United States.

Volunteers take shoeboxes and fill them with approximately $50 worth of items like scarves, chocolates, makeup, and small toiletries. Each box includes an encouraging message and is decorated and wrapped before being delivered to shelters.

The KEEN Garage in Palo Alto joined the efforts as one of the donation drop off locations for The Shoebox Project. The KEEN Garage asked customers who purchased new pairs of shoes if they would like to donate their shoeboxes for the project. Local volunteers could pick up an empty shoebox, fill the shoebox with recommended items, and return the completed gift to the Garage’s drop off location!
