In the New York Times today is an article entitled “Grills With Legs Beckon Germans to Bratwurst” by Nicholas Kulish. The article features the Grillwalker, a portable grilling system for making bratwurst that is popular in Berlin, Germany.
A bratwurst is a sausage composed of pork, beef, or veal. The name is German, derived from Old High German brätwurst, from brät-, which is finely chopped meat and -wurst, or sausage. The very first bratwurst was made at the beginning of the 14th Century! More info here.
